Scholarship opportunities available for local students
January 30, 2007 - Posted in Education News, ScholarshipIn an effort to boost educational opportunities for students in the 20th District and around the state, State Senator Joy Padgett (R - Coshocton) is seeking to nominate high school graduates from the class of 2007 for the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools (OACCS) Legislative Scholarship Program. If chosen, students are given assistance to attend one of Ohio’s proprietary schools or colleges.
OACCS sponsors the Legislative Scholarship Program annually with cooperation from Ohio’s 29 proprietary schools, which include the ITT Technical Institute. Interested students should request applications from their high school guidance counselor. As part of the process, applicants are required to obtain the signature of a member of the Ohio House or Senate. Students may send their applications to Senator Padgett’s Office at Statehouse, Columbus, OH 43215.
