William Simon Fellowship

Applications are being accepted for the William E. Simon Fellowship for Noble Purpose through the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.
The fellowship is a $40,000 unrestricted cash grant to a graduating college senior who has demonstrated “passion, dedication, a high capacity for self-direction and originality in pursuit of a goal that would strengthen civil society.”

Students move up in Coke scholarship bids

Four area teens have reached the semifinals of a scholarship program sponsored by Coca-Cola. Kristen Jones, Jerry Kent and Susana Sanchez of Bloomingdale High and Breanna Kelly of East Bay High join 2,100 other seniors competing for a total of $3 million from the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.

CEFCO C-Stores Begins Student Scholarship

CEFCO Convenience Stores, a business unit of Fikes Wholesale, Inc., contributed $15,000 to establish the C. E. Fikes (CEFCO) Endowed Scholarship at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, located in Belton, Texas.

Scholarship Available For Dependents Of Virginia Firefighters

The Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Educational Foundation has announced the availability of the Virginia Firefighters Foundation Scholarship. Authorities want you to be on the look out for a scam artist who says they’re collecting money to send kids to college.
Leaders at Gulf Coast Community College say they’ve received reports a scam artist is going door-to-door asking for donations to a scholarship fund.
