The Medical Societies of Chenango and Otsego counties are seeking candidates to receive monetary grants from the Lee C. Van Wagner Scholarship Loan Fund. The fund provides grants to qualified county students who have been accepted to osteopathic or medical schools approved by the Association of American Medical Colleges. Recipients of the grant would be required to practice medicine in Chenango or Otsego county for at least one year after completing medical school.

Those interested should send a written request for an application to: Kathleen Dyman, executive vice president of the Chenango Country Medical Society, 4311 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, N.Y. 3413. Applicants should include a brief outline of his/her background and reasons for seeking the grant. Applications must be submitted by July 1. Contact the Medical Societies at (315) 735-2204
