The Bradley W. Nordstrand Fund is accepting applications for the sixth annual scholarship to be presented to a participant of The Phipps Center for the Arts Children’s Theater productions who will graduate from high school and attend a college, university or other institution of higher learning in the fall of this year.

The scholarship will be awarded to the candidate who best demonstrates a commitment to the Children’s Theater and shows promise in their desired area of future interest. Applicants are welcome from all areas of the Children’s Theater program and are not limited to applicants intending to pursue education in theater arts.

Applications for the scholarship are available at The Phipps Center, 109 Locust St., Hudson, WI. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Deadline for submission is Monday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m.

Family and friends established the scholarship fund in 2001 to honor Nordstrand’s memory and many years of participation in the Children’s Theater at The Phipps Center. The fund is part of the St. Croix Valley Community Foundation.

The 2007 recipient of the scholarship will be announced at The Phipps Center’s annual volunteer recognition event, Cheers for Volunteers, in the spring.
