Frank M. Doyle Scholarship open to graduating seniors
February 5, 2007 - Posted in Education NewsOnce again, the Frank M. Doyle Foundation is offering scholarships to students in the Huntington Beach Unified School District. Applicants must be HBUSD alumni or seniors who will graduate in June 2007.
Created by Doyle himself and currently supported by his family, the Foundation has provided scholarships for thousands of students to attend educational institutions ranging from trade schools to community colleges and universities. Past recipients have gone to schools, such as Alliant International, Vanguard, UCs, Harvard, Irvine Valley, Tufts, and the Culinary Institute of America.
The three-page application requests applicants to assemble their legal contracts, personal essays about his career goals, financial information, academic transcripts, and two reference letters, and the application form in one packet to the Foundation’s headquarters in Reno, Nevada.
Students can download the 2007-2008 application at www.frankmdoyle.org, which must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2007. The scholarships will be awarded in May and winnings will be administered as determined by the college’s payment structure.
