The Central Mesabi Medical Foundation of Hibbing is offering health care scholarships available for the 2007-08 school year for students from the Range area. The deadline for scholarship applications is April 2, 2007. The scholarships available are:

The Mei Lin Scholarship is for those already accepted into a professional health career. The student must be accepted and/or enrolled in a professional health care program such as medical school, pharmacy, PT, OT, nurse practitioner, etc. The annual award is up to $4,000 .

The Health Care Career Scholarship is available in four categories. Four awards up to $1,000 each are offered in:

- AD Nursing through Hibbing Community College
- BSN Nursing (preference to those who are advancing their AD nursing degree)
- Diagnostic Imaging and
- Other health career related professions — must be enrolled in the field of study — general majors are not eligible (ie. biology, chemistry)

The Diagnostic Imaging/X-ray Memorial Scholarship established in honor of Sam Kotonias for a $500 annual award.
