Scholarship to Honor Fallen Lexington Marine
February 21, 2007 - Posted in Education News, ScholarshipLexington School District 1 has set up a scholarship in honor of a marine who lost his life in Iraq.
Almar Fitzgerald died one year ago from injuries sustained during a roadside bomb attack. Now, a scholarship has been set up in his name.
The scholarship will be awarded annually to one Lexington High School student with the same aspirations as Almar. Almar graduated from Lexington High in 2000.
