Grant applications for the 2007 Field Scovell Scholarship Foundation are available at area high schools and on-line.

Fifteen grants of $3,000 will be awarded. Ten will be awarded to graduating high school seniors, and five scholarships will be reserved for previous Scovell Scholarship winners currently enrolled in college.

Scovell scholarships are open to all North Texas high school graduates who continue higher education in the state of Texas or at a Big 12 Conference or Southeastern Conference university – the conferences associated with the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic.

Scholarships are awarded to recipients who demonstrate leadership abilities, high moral character, demonstrated financial need and a connection to sports.

Applications will be accepted through March 14. Recipients will be notified in April and honored at a reception in May.
