Dillon & Co Limited have announced the 2007 Bacardi Martini Cocktail Scholarship and are inviting people to enter the competition.

The scholarship will run in conjunction with Dublin Institute of Technology (D.I.T) Faculty of Tourism and Food, Dublin and in association with the Irish Institutes of Technology, Industry bodies and the Regional Training centres and colleges of Ireland. Competitors will be given an opportunity to improve and exhibit their skills, create new Bacardi and Martini cocktails and improve their knowledge of spirits and cocktails.

The top-scoring competitor will receive a special cocktail scholarship to compete at this year’s International Bacardi Martini Grand Prix Finals in Italy, and the opportunity to visit Bacardi’s distillery in Puerto Rico. All National finalist competitors will also receive a special cocktail certificate of participation.

The closing date for receipt of entry forms is Wednesday 28 March. The National Final will be held Thursday 19 April at D.I.T, Faculty of Tourism and Food, Training Laboratory MIO, Cathal Brugha Street, Dublin 1, and the competition will begin at 11.30am sharp.
