2007 CYSA college scholarship program
April 13th, 2007 - Posted in Education, ScholarshipThe Chickasha Youth Soccer Association Scholarship Foundation is proud to announce its 1st Annual College Scholarship Program for Academically Achieving High School Students.
Current and former CYSA players who meet our criteria are eligible. The CYSA Board of Directors will be awarding a total of approximately $250 in scholarships. The recipient will receive a $250 scholarship, which will be paid directly to the school of their choice.
Scholarships will not be paid directly to the recipient.
Scholarships must be used within one year of issuance.
Scholarships that are not used will be placed back in the Scholarship Fund to be reissued. The scholarships will be awarded in August of 2007.
To be considered for a scholarship award, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
A) The applicant must have participated as a player, coach, or referee for a minimum of two (2) years (four seasons) in CYSA recreational or competitive play, or a combination of both.
B) The applicant must be a graduating high school student. Only high school seniors are eligible.
C) The applicant must submit a certified copy of their high school transcript with at least the first semester of their senior year included. Transcripts must include an unweighted GPA. Applicants should request a weighted GPA be included on the transcript by the school officials.
D) In 250 words or less, the applicant must describe their involvement in CYSA (and other community organizations) and how this involvement has affected them.
E) Incomplete applications will not be considered. No Exceptions!
F) If at any time it is determined that information provided on the application is inaccurate, the CYSA Scholarship Foundation reserves the right to reconsider or revoke the award.
All applications must be RECEIVED (NOT POSTMARKED) between January 1, 2007 and May 1, 2007,, to be considered for a CYSA College Scholarship.
