Moriarty Scholarship
Applications are now available for the Moriarty Scholarship. This scholarship was established in memory of William J. Moriarty, Jr. whose vision of learning through the arts was responsible for establishing the Rensselaer Children’s Summer Theatre now known as The Fendig Summer Theatre for Children.
The scholarship fund has been established to continue this vision of learning through the arts by offering a scholarship to a college student having completed his or her sophomore or junior year with a declared major in theatre, dance, music or the performing arts. The student must be a Rensselaer Central High School graduate and must have had at least five years combined in the Fendig Summer Theatre and high school theatre. Applicants must also be a full time college student.
Applications are available by calling Maureen Spicer at 866-8816. All applications must be completed and returned to Spicer no later than June 15.
