QUEANBEYAN tenpin bowler Vikki Taylor has accepted her individual scholarship with the South East Regional Academy of Sport [SERAS] for 2007.

Taylor, 16, has been busy this year helping her ACT team finish second at the ACT State titles in her division.

At the same event she also came second in the Classic All event and A Grade Trios.

The next day, after qualifying for the Girl’s Open Masters, she finished equal sixth.

Last month she travelled to Melbourne to compete in the Junior Tenpin Nationals and represent the ACT in the Junior President Shield.

Taylor is one of 40 athletes to receive a 12 month scholarship, which provides athletes with opportunities in education and sports science.

She has also received direct funding to support her travels and aspirations.

At the end of last year Taylor was ranked 28 among the NSW Juniors.
