CSBG scholarship deadline extended

DuPage County’s Department of Community Services announced Wednesday that the deadline to apply for a CSBG scholarship has been extended.
Support documents and applications must now be received by 4:30 p.m. May 18.
The previous deadline was today.

VA Mortgage Center.com Announces Scholarship Winners

The VA Mortgage Center.com has announced the three winners of its first annual Military Education Scholarship Program. The winners, John Parker, Stacey Lang, and Ann Marie Little will each receive $1,000 from the VA Mortgage Center.com to be used towards educational funding.

Heart transplant recipient establishes scholarship

A Kansas man who received the heart of a 14-year-old Glencoe boy is establishing a scholarship for a graduating senior at Glencoe High School.
Steve Lewis of Haven, Kansas, presented the first 500-dollar scholarship yesterday in memory of Roger “Bubba” Porter junior.

Moriarty Scholarship

Moriarty, Jr. whose vision of learning through the arts was responsible for establishing the Rensselaer Children’s Summer Theatre now known as The Fendig Summer Theatre for Children.

Lauer scholarship to be awarded in 2008

Fundraising is continuing for the Cpl. Timothy J. Lauer Scholarship and the first scholarship is expected to be awarded in spring 2008.

Hordendorf Awarded Inaugural Domino’s Athletics Scholarship

Freshman Amanda Hordendorf (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights) of the Lock Haven University field hockey team was recently awarded the inaugural Domino’s Athletics Scholarship by Jim and Zonda Gregory, owners and operators of the Lock Haven Domino’s Pizza restaurant.
