India: Record number of candidates for diaspora scholarship scheme

A record number of 223 students from the Indian diaspora will vie for the Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC) 2007-08 awarded by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) in an examination to be held in 15 countries Sunday.

Hamm scholarship winners announced

Eight Van Buren High School graduating seniors have been awarded Harry O. Hamm scholarships providing them a college education. Stephen Chapman, Lauren Clark, Leanne Cushman, Natasha Harris, B.J. NCTA Graduate Brittany Ruttman Awarded Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has announced that Brittany Ruttman of Grand Island has been awarded a $500 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship. Recipients of this scholarship must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the transfer student honorary, and meet transfer scholarship criteria.

York nurse wins national scholarship

THIS nurse has scooped a national award in a glitzy ceremony at the House of Commons.

Hursey family establishes the DeEdwin Hursey Higher Education Scholarship

Cumberland County College’s foundation office announced on Thursday the establishment of the DeEdwin Hursey Higher Education Scholarship.
Hursey’s family will fund the memorial scholarship, created in honor of the late community leader and former member of the college’s board of trustees.

Scholarship set up in memory of Madeira grad

An art scholarship will honor a Madeira graduate who died in a house fire April 21 near the University of Cincinnati.
Matt Simpson, 20, was a 2005 graduate of Madeira High School.
