The family of Matt Jones recently released the winners of their scholarship in honor of their son.

Jemison seniors Magenn McGriff, Matthew Sample and Erin Watley each received $2,000 college scholarships from the Matt Jones Golf Tournament held earlier this year.

McGriff will be attending University of Montevallo this fall. She is the daughter of Tammy and Glenn McGriff of Jemison.

Sample will continue his education at Auburn University. He is the son of Renee Sample. He plans to walk on the Auburn football team this fall.

Watley plans to attend Troy University. She is the daughter of Doug and Edith Watley of Jemison.

Brenda Jones, the mother of Matt Jones, said she and her husband are helping make her son’s dream come true.
