Journyx — the creator of the Web-based time tracking industry — today announced the winner of its 2007 Excellence In Project Accounting Philosophy Essay Scholarship: Rocco Costa, a graduate student at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California.

The competition, which was designed to improve the philosophy and the technology of project accounting, asked applicants to write an essay persuading someone who does not want to track time on a per-product per-activity basis why it is in his or her best interest to do so. The award is a $500 scholarship for outstanding students enrolled in a graduate level masters or doctoral level degree program at a university in the United States.

Rocco Costa is the first recipient of the Journyx Excellence in Project Accounting Philosophy Scholarship.
