State bill boosts REC scholarship fund

Every year during the Somerset Rural Electric Cooperative meeting, scholarships are given to high school students.
This year is no different, but the scholarship amount is: The cooperative is giving away a total of $7,000.

Butler College presented $500,000 grant

The board of trustees of the K.T. Wiedemann Foundation has awarded a $500,000 conditional grant to the Butler Community College Foundation.

HBA Raises Funds for Scholarship Program

In another demonstration of how ‘homes build lives,’ the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County has raised more than $28,000 since May for its college scholarship program through golf and fishing tournaments.

Time Running Out to Consolidate Student Loans Before Rate Boost

Starting July 1, interest rates for older Stafford and PLUS loans will rise 0.08 percentage points. Davidson Community College wins grant

A federal grant worth $810,000 will support construction costs for a new Transportation Technology Center on the campus of Davidson County Community College.
