The application deadline for music student scholarships from the Battle Creek Morning Musical Club is Feb. 1. The club is offering summer camp scholarships of up to $400 as well as the Gif and Connie Richards scholarship in the amount of $500.

The summer music camp awards are for students in seventh through 12th grades who are members of the Battle Creek Youth Orchestra or the Junior Musicians Club.

Applicants for the Richards scholarship must be a freshman voice or musical theater major at Kellogg Community College or any other Michigan college.
