Applications for the Virginia Walker Memorial Scholarship are available for individuals who have been served by Regional Youth Services, a private, non-profit agency.

Anyone who has received foster-care-related services through any RYS program, regardless of age, and wants to take college or trade-school courses may apply for the scholarship, which will be a minimum of $500.

The agency plans to award as much as $5,000 this year.

Award winners will be announced at RYS Foster Parents Appreciation Dinner in May. Regional Youth Services is a private, non-profit foster-care placement and support agency.
