Local Scholarships
The Rick & Michael Bertschy Memorial Scholarship will award $5,000 over four years to a Rogers High School senior with financial need. The applicant’s grade point average will be considered. Deadline is Tuesday.
The Rogers Education Scholarship Fund will award several $1,000 scholarships to RHS seniors planning to become teachers. Deadline is Tuesday.
The Dr. W.E. Jennings, MD Memorial will award a $350 scholarship to a Rogers High School senior with a minimum 3.2 grade point average. Classes taken in high school must reflect courses needed for pre-med. If no one qualifies, applicants may be nursing students. Deadline is Tuesday.
The Rogers Noon Rotary scholarships are a one-year award in the range of $300 to $1,000. Approximately 10 to 12 students are chosen. Recipients are selected based on multiple criteria, including academics, community involvement, rigorous schedule and financial need. Rotary involvement is a plus for some of the awards. Deadline is April 9.
Arvest Bank will award a $500 scholarship to a Rogers High School senior planning to major in business or finance. Preference will be given to students who want to enter the banking profession. Deadline is April 9.
The Rogers Art Guild will award a $1,000 scholarship to an RHS senior who is a good student, dependable, and a high achiever. Applicants should have a goal in the art field, and show artistic talent. An interview with the student’s portfolio, and a short paragraph on their goals in the art field is required. Deadline is Friday.
The Jim & Rhonda Woodruff Scholarship - In Honor of Monica Bray will be awarded to an RHS senior planning to major in elementary education. A minimum 20 ACT and minimum 3.0 grade point average are required. Deadline is April 9.
The Kyle & Patrick Woodruff Baseball Scholarship for $500 will be awarded to an RHS senior baseball player who best represents team values and who best sets examples for younger players. A minimum 20 ACT and minimum 3.0 grade point average are required. Deadline is April 9.
Junior Auxiliary of Rogers-Bentonville will award a $1,500 scholarship to an RHS senior. Community service, ACT scores and grade point average will be considered. Priority will be given to students interested in a career that serves children. A short essay is required. Deadline is Friday.
The Maurice H. Kolman Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to an RHS senior who is employed by or has a parent, grandparent or guardian employed by the city of Rogers. Preference will be given to employees of the Rogers Street Department, Planning Department or Airport Department. Deadline is Friday.
Glad Manufacturing will award a $1,000 scholarship to an RHS senior not awarded other scholarships. Deadline is April 15.
The Julia Marie Williams Scholarship Fund will award two scholarships for $1,750 each to RHS seniors. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Preference will be given to students who may not otherwise be considered for scholarships or other forms of financial aid because of their merit or financial need bracket. Deadline to apply is April 15.
The Sandra K. Roberts Memorial Scholarship will award $500 to an RHS senior. Applicants must be a business or vo-tech major. Financial need, community service and extracurricular activities are required. Deadline is April 11.
Mechele and Jim White will award a $100 scholarship to an RHS senior planning to attend Arkansas Tech University. Deadline is April 11.
White Oak Station Convenience Stores will award a $500 scholarship to an RHS senior planning to attend college. Financial need is required. Deadline is April 11.
Mercy Health Pediatrics will award a $500 scholarship to an RHS senior. Applicants must have a minimum 3.25 grade point average, participate in extracurricular activities and plan to major in a health related field. A short essay is required. Deadline is April 11.
Hight Jackson Associates, PA will award a $1,500 scholarship to an RHS senior planning to major in architecture, landscape architecture, mechanical, electrical or civil engineering, or in special cases a student planning to attend vo-tech school for CAD. Requirements include a minimum 3.0 grade average, minimum 21 ACT, financial need, community involvement and extracurricular activities participation. Other scholarships the student is receiving will be considered. Deadline is April 11.
Simmons First Bank of Northwest Arkansas will award a $500 scholarship to an RHS senior planning to major in business or finance. Financial need, a minimum 2.5 grade point average and work activities will be considered. Deadline is April 11.
Rogers High School Alumni Association will award a $1,000 scholarship to an RHS senior whose parent or grandparent graduated from Rogers High School. Financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement will be considered. A short questionnaire is required. Deadline is April 11.
The Ronnie Highfill Memorial Scholarship for $500 will be awarded to an RHS senior who plans to major in agriculture. Deadline is April 11.
Regional Scholarships
Beth Vacanti Artists of Northwest Arkansas will award a $1,000 Visual Arts Scholarship to a graduating senior planning to continue art study at the university level. Artistic ability and financial need will be considered. A separate application and photos of three works of art are required. Deadline is April 10.
