There is still time to submit an application for the ninth annual Beat the Odds Scholarship Awards.

Beat the Odds recognizes four area high school students who have overcome significant challenges to become personally and academically successful. At the awards ceremony on Jan. 28, four students will each receive a $2,500 scholarship to the accredited college of their choice.

To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be on track to graduate in June and have plans to attend an accredited post-secondary institution.

Applications are available online at www.rctc.edu/foundation or by calling Colleen Landherr Maddox, RCTC community and youth program director and event coordinator, at 280-3113.

Applications are due by Oct. 30 to RCTC Beat the Odds Scholarship, 851 30th Ave. S.E., Rochester, MN 55904.
