ECU Notes: $100,000 gift given to start education scholarship

The College of Education recently received a $100,000 pledge to establish a middle grades education scholarship, officials announced.
Jim and Evelyn Kirkland of Lumberton have committed to give $20,000 a year over the next five years to establish the scholarship.
