LCPS Teacher Wins Fulbright Scholarship

The J. William Fulbright Scholarship Board recently named Christina Kauffman, a Latin teacher at Stone Bridge High School, Seneca Ridge Middle School and River Bend Middle School, as a scholarship winner for its Classics Summer Seminar in Italy.

Smith’s Senatorial Scholarship deadline is May 15

State Sen. Preston Smith, R-Rome, is accepting applications for his annual Senatorial Scholarship through May 15. The $500 undergraduate scholarships will go to one male and one female high school senior from his district, which covers Floyd and parts of Bartow and Gordon counties.

St. John’s debuts 3-city abroad program

St. John’s University is launching a new study abroad program this month called, “Discover the World.”

Community Foundation scholarship listing is available

The 2007 Scholarship Bulletin is available. The annual publication, produced by the Community Foundation of South Wood County, lists more than 100 scholarships available for students from Nekoosa, Pittsville, Port Edwards, Rome, Rudolph, Vesper and the Wisconsin Rapids area.
