Applications for the 2008-09 Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships, designed to promote international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries and cultures, are available from area Rotary clubs.

Rotary Club establishes Athens State scholarship

ATHENS — The Athens Rotary Club established a scholarship to assist students attending Athens State University.
The club completed a $10,000 endowed schol-arship when it presented University President Jerry Bartlett a check for $4,000.
The scholarship will be awarded through the Athens State University Foundation. The club’s scholarship committee will select the student.

The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman awarded its first annual Bill Brooks Memorial Scholarship to Caymanian Victor Crumbley on Thursday.
