Applications for the 2007-08 Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships are now available from Rotary Clubs in Rotary District 6960 of Southwest Florida.

Rotary Foundation Scholarships offer study in foreign country

Rotary International scholarships are available to college students for the 2007-2008 school year to attend a university in a foreign country.
Scholarships are for one academic year (usually nine months).
The Rotary Foundation will fund up to $25,000 for transportation and living expenses.

To help students who want to study internationally during upcoming college semesters, the Rotary Club Scholarship Program is offering another round of its annual scholarships for club members who plan to study abroad.

Rotary Club establishes Athens State scholarship

ATHENS — The Athens Rotary Club established a scholarship to assist students attending Athens State University.
The club completed a $10,000 endowed schol-arship when it presented University President Jerry Bartlett a check for $4,000.
The scholarship will be awarded through the Athens State University Foundation. The club’s scholarship committee will select the student.
