The Akron branch of the NAACP held its annual Life Membership and Scholarship Luncheon on Sunday at Tangier restaurant in Akron.

Taft College graduates to get more than $28,000 in scholarships at luncheon

Forty Taft College students will haul in $28,700 in scholarship money contributed by local organizations.

Nine high school and college students received scholarships totaling $15,000 at the DFW Network of Hispanic Communicators’ annual scholarship awards brunch Saturday in Fort Worth.
