MIT lands $2M in pair of Amgen scholarship grants

California-based Amgen Inc. has selected MIT as a site for its national scholarship program.
BMIT is scheduled to receive two grants of $1 million each from the Amgen Foundation for its Amgen Scholars program for undergraduate students interested in science and biotechnology.

Student loan debt is lowest in the nation

Utah’s college student loan debt is the lowest in the country, according to a study by the Project on Student Debt.

Michael Watts of Oak Park received a $5,000 scholarship in honor of Teradyne Inc. cofounder, Peter Hashem.
Watts is the son of Leah and David Watts and will be majoring in physics at UC Berkeley.
