State bill boosts REC scholarship fund

Every year during the Somerset Rural Electric Cooperative meeting, scholarships are given to high school students.
This year is no different, but the scholarship amount is: The cooperative is giving away a total of $7,000.

The Connestee Falls Student Scholarship Program recently donated scholarship money to Transylvania County Schools, Brevard College and Blue Ridge Community College.
