Rotarians present scholarship awards

The Rotary Club of Somerville and Bridgewater recently held its annual scholarship awards luncheon at the Bridgewater Manor.
Eight students from local schools were awarded scholarships totaling $15,000.
One student from each of the four high schools in the area received a scholarship based on scholastic ability, service to school, service to community and need.

One hundred and sixty-six students from 25 Greater Cincinnati high schools have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. Three other semifinalists are home-schooled.

Rotary fund oncology scholarship

The Rotary Club of Mudgee has announced it is providing a $5,000 scholarship to train a nurse in oncology for Mudgee Hospital.
At present the hospital brings two nurses from Dubbo to provide chemotherapy services to oncology patients.
